Farah Kurji BSW, MSW, RSW, RCSW


Farah feels privileged to have also provide services to the Canadian Department of National Defense, Municipal First Responders and support to other clinicians from her interest in Trauma.

Farah values ongoing learning and training and has maintained various certifications including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Gottman’s Level 1 Couples Training. 

In order to connect with people who may not be able to meet in person she graduated from University of Toronto’s e-counselingprogram and can provide counseling online. This has proven very helpful for people who travel frequently but would like access to sessions.

She has earned recognition through her years of work and most specifically in providing preventative education to reduce risks of suicide in long term care facilities with the geriatric population.

Farah is inspired by her belief in people’s desire and ability to heal, grow and thrive. She has ongoing interests in neurosciences and is passionate to support people in learning about their own minds.
